The Sri Lanka Malay Association (SLMA) was established in 1922 to serve not only the Malay community but all other communities as well.
The main objectives of SLMA are to;- Support the preservation of Malay cultural values.
- Assist the less privileged of society in their welfare and education.
- Document and preserve the Sri Lankan Malay heritage.
- Foster religious values.
